With trips designed and conducted as private tours, latitude to travel and include stops working with the preference of the group is normal. Expanding on our half day tour description, we will see much more of what the Park has to offer by slowing down in a less time-constricted manner, with greater opportunity for photography, simple viewing, or even sketching.
We will learn about the history of Menor’s Ferry and Maude Noble’s cabin, the birthplace of the Park. We may venture up Signal Mountain, drive out to Spalding Bay on the quiet side of Jackson Lake, or take in the shuttle ferry across Jenny Lake as well with ample time for a relaxed lunch lakeside, or engage in discussions of the historic, geology, ecology, and topography of the park and come to understand just how both the glacial and interglacial periods have shaped the park to afford the setting we find ourselves in, that of remarkably untouched nature!
The use of binoculars and a spotting scope conquer the challenges often encountered by distance when the naked eye is just not enough, or simply enjoy the detail one can get with the use of special equipment.
This is a perfect trip where a 12-hour excursion is just too much, allowing for a real nap back at your hotel (you are on vacation!) before you resume your evening activities.

Note: the nature of private tours allows some flexibility in terms of group preference or climate issues, e.g., hot weather.
We recommend dressing in layers and having some warm clothing handy, as the temperature and weather vary from location to location--sometimes with rain! Most people indicate that they also appreciate having a hat and sunglasses. Bring a camera!
We hit the jackpot with Greg Eich as our guide. He has a wealth of knowledge of the area, and a passion for geology. We were fortunate on our tour to see bear, elk, pronghorn deer, bison, and a bald eagle. In addition to the wildlife we got some fantastic views of the Tetons and surrounding rivers, lakes and streams. (Grand Tetons, September, 2021)
Amazing Tour!
We had a fantastic day tour with Greg. We ended up being the only family on the tour and he was very kind to tailor the tour to our boys preference. He was kind to always take our picture for memories. He was very knowledgeable on the area, and even gave suggestions of other quick things we could do around Teton and Yellowstone. Highly recommend this tour!
