Note: Remember, these are private tours. We are happy to tailor the tour to your interest and stamina. While most people find that 8 hours is a very full day, it is not possible to complete the loop in that period of time, however, it is shorter from West Yellowstone.
Depending on starting in Jackson, Wyoming or West Yellowstone, Montana, the actual time and direction of the tour will depend upon traffic, wildlife, and Old Faithful eruptions. We hit Old Faithful first or last depending upon its scheduled eruption time. Bison jams, traffic, or unexpected events can extend the travel time. Tip: Don’t make evening plans; you will be exhausted.
This was the fullest of days and our guide Greg could not have been more interesting and informative. He picked us up at our hotel exactly on time. The shuttle bus was very comfortable and trip included a good picnic lunch. Cost of trip seemed a bit pricey but when we finished the day, realized it was definitely worth every cent! Had a total of 6 on our shuttle, which allowed us to be able to talk and get information from Greg more easily. It was a most memorable day!! Would definitely go with this tour group again. Fun for the Entire Family
Review of: Yellowstone Lower Loop Full-Day Tour Our tour guide, Greg, was fantastic! He was able to guide us to the park highlights, in a way that kept us from being overwhelmed by the crowds, even though we visited the park in early August. His knowledge of the park kept everyone from my 10-year-old son to my 75 year old father-in-law engaged. Plus, he was plain nice, funny, and helpful--definitely something you want in a tour guide. We all came back from the trip with a deeper appreciation of Yellowstone and its history. Date of experience: August 2019 Reviewed August 26th, 2019
